Message: ...I think, if you wants to us the longest postponement time available, then you can first postpone a max 30 days, after which you have to wait another two weeks before you can use the postponement again. So, I think you have to plan on how you'll be using the postponement...but since you'll be on and off, maybe 30 days isn't that necessary? Furthermore, during your postponement if you've made more than 5 moves then the option to cancel your postponement will appear in all your game...so I'm not sure making moves during postponement is a wise idea.
...Another thing is I'm not sure if you can write in to Mike to ask for a 2 month postponement? Maybe somebody else can fill in for that?

Sly

Message: I was about ready to ask the same question. I plan to be gone the last two months of summer, and I would hate to find timed out games on my return.

Message: Just send a message to Mike that you'll be gone for 2 months and he'll probably let you postpone for 2 months.

Message: but can people just cancel your prosponment? what's with that? some idiot who
wanted a game won could just cancel it and end up winning the game on time. Is
that fair?

Message: kangoldemancha, this option only appears AFTER you've made more than 5 moves DURING the postponement period. I think it was design that way to avoid abuse, eg stalling....so it'll be ok if you don't make move during the postponement :-)
