I'm a US citizen, but I'm living and working in Asia, and I'm looking into starting a chess club and trying to find out how I can get this club affiliated with FIDE and get some members into FIDE. For the last three days (time permitting) I've gone to the FIDE site, done other web searches, looked and looked .... ... maybe its just my stupidity but I still can't find out how to get into FIDE. WHY??? (assuming it's NOT solely my stupidity) People in chess don't know how to market. They aren't very inviting to the rest of the world out there. I hope some pivotal people in the world of chess would read this article. PS If you can tell me how to get into FIDE, I would appreciate a link ... |
