Message: Hello All:
It seems that you can withdraw from a Tournament but not from a mini-tournament.
What happens if life interfers too much while you are in teh middle of a mini (and these can go on for quite a while given the controls)?
What happens if you withdraw from a regular tournament? Are your games counted as losses.
Thanks in advance,
Gerry

Message: You cannot withdraw from a MT. You lose ALL the remaining games, and your rating takes a dump.

What happens if you have to withdraw from a regular tournament? All games count as losses also?

Message: You are currently playing in the 29th GK tournament (3 running games).
If you are referring to these games, they will be counted as losses if you cant finish them. Its impossible to "withdraw" from this group because the games have started already, so you have to finish them somehow (draw offers, resignment, regular end or simply by time-out). If you have a choice it would be fair not ruin the groups result with your decision.
If you choose to finish these games regularly, but dont want to take part in the next round (in case you are qualified), please contact the webmaster. A solution will be found without effect on your rating or timeouts in the next round, maybe even the second place in your group can proceed. I had a similar experience in the past, it worked quite well.
If you have signed for the next GK-tournament (starting in May) withdrawing is no problem at all. Just select "tournaments" and navigate to the "withdraw" button.

Message: Thanks misato.
No I will be able to finish my current tournament games. It's just that I will be travelling in the summer and didn't want to start something I couldn't finish.
Seems very hard though to get games against higher rated players unless you play in the tournaments. All my challenges of such players have been declined.
