Subject: PGN
Message: I'm trying something new, I have never looked at my games with PGN so thought I would try.
I saved my PGN from a game to my desktop. When I try to open it, it says I cant :(
So, how do I open it and use PGN?
Thanx,
Eric

Message: is a good place to start: www.tim-mann.org/xboard.html. This is a freeware chess program/PGN reader--it's very easy to use as-is, but it is also customizable to a significant degree. It won't serve you as a games database, but if you're interested in one of those you can get the freeware program SCID (scid.sourceforge.net/). There is another database I prefer working with called CDB; it's slow and no longer being supported, but it's free and far more intuitive than SCID. The page at www.chessopolis.com/software.htm has a link to it and other relevant software.
