 Subject: King of the CastleMessage: Hey fellow Chessmasters, This is just a message to say hi and see how everyone is doing. I want to aplaud the fact that we are not in the negative. Even though chess is an individual game in here there is no "I" in team, so please try your best to get the win...if not that is okay as long as we learn from our mistakes. And I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a Chessmaster...just an intermediate at best. Just one reminder if you plan to go on vacation or plan to not make a move for a long period of time please, please flag your status to vacation. It will probably end in a tie but I just wanted some friendly advice. I have his king blocked off nicely from getting to my bishop but once I move my king over to get his pawn and then take it with my knight he will be able to get down to my bishop. I will end up sacrificing my bishop for his pawn and he will sacrifice his bishop to kill my pawn. Although I will have a knight advantage I can't win. |

I got her to join...did not want to join at first thinking she was not good enough to be on a team but as you can see from her win/loss record she is pretty modest. PS: any in vote to change the team name please let me know. I would say that if he did use software, than he's using it on a position-by-position basis, and only if he decides to... some of his moves aren't very strong, especially early on, when he wasted a tempo (in both games) by moving his pawn up one space first, and then moving the same pawn up again a move or two later (without any significant developments to merit it). I guess the trick is to outplay the software if that's the case. There is always the possibility that he improved, as well... you never can tell. |
